Do you need an app or is a website enough?

When you truly need a mobile app and when it's just burning budget. An honest comparison with prices.

"We want an app" is a common wish. But an app costs 5–10 times more than a site, and you still have to convince people to install it. Let's see when it's justified.

When a website is enough

The client visits rarely (monthly or less), you need Google traffic, and the point is information plus a request. A site opens instantly, needs no install and gets found in search. In 80% of cases that's the answer.

When you genuinely need an app

The user comes daily or weekly (delivery, fitness, learning, banking), and you need push notifications, offline mode, camera, geolocation or one-tap payment. That is: when the app *is* the product, not a nice-to-have.

The middle ground — PWA

A website that installs on a phone like an app: an icon, full screen, push notifications, offline. Costs like a site but feels like an app. Often the perfect first step.

Not sure what you need? Tell us the task — we'll advise honestly, even if the answer is "you don't need an app yet".
