Dashboards: how to start seeing your business in real time

photo soon

Spreadsheet reports are always about yesterday. A dashboard shows what's happening now — and where a problem appears.

Most business decisions are made late — because the data lives in different places and is collected by hand. A dashboard ties the sources into one screen that updates itself.

Where to start

Don't try to show everything at once. Pick the 5–7 metrics that truly drive decisions: revenue, leads, conversion, load, stock. The rest is second-level detail.

The main rule

A dashboard should answer a question within 5 seconds. If you have to squint and do the math, it's a spreadsheet, not a dashboard. We design so the problem highlights itself.
